This was a piece that my mother in law gave to me, and as you can see, it's a little outdated. The frame was originally a tuscan gold color, but I painted it and then hung it on the wall, trying to get inspiration on what to do with it.
So I'm gonna show you what I did with it, step by step!
Here's our supplies
I wrapped the batting around the picture and stapled it with my handy dandy stapler!
Repeated the process again, this time with my Burlap I got from Joann's
Here's the now covered tiger! PHEW!
This is our initial for our last name, which I hot glued to the burlap
Here's the finished product, above my STILL UNtouched buffet! Still trying to get inspiration for this
area, it's coming along though :)
And just in case you forgot what that little nook area looked like...

This is coming along beautifully! I love the burlap with the monogram! I'm in love with the lamp too...can't wait to see what you do with the dresser!
ReplyDeleteThat's a big improvement on the frame. And it has a "G". I currently have white empty frames hanging on my half primed wall. I thought it might motivate me to finish it and get some photo's in.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
lisa x
Nice job with the burlap...I keep thinking I need to go to Joann's and get some to try out in our house, too.
ReplyDeleteBTW LOVE the blue lamp!
Oh this is amazing! I can't wait to make one and hang it on a spare wall in our bedroom! I just finished building a bed and painting all the furniture white and this would look AMAZING in there! Thanks for the great post!

ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteThe buffet caught my eye. I had a dresser with mirror and desk with chair and hutch just like it as girl. Seeing your buffet took me back to my girlhood room - complete with Strawberry Shortcake figures, Bonne Bell lipsmackers (the big ones)and posters of Cindy Lauper. Thanks.
