Ever seen these baskets at Walmart? SOOOO ugly. But serves their purpose. To hold stuff.
Oh, and apparently to hold a long hair in the window spot. CUTE.
Well, I couldn't stand looking at them so after a little bit of brainstorming, I was able to come up with an idea-cover them with burlap!
After covering them up, I attached some ribbon to the top and glued a little bow on front-voila! Now I need to finish the other two, but I just LOVE how it turned out! :)
Don't you?
O so now I feel sad cuz I have those baskets you think are ugly.

Hi Janet! New follower here form the blog hop! Thanks for joining us :) What a fantastic idea to cover those ugly baskets! Love me some burlap ;)
ReplyDeleteSo much better!! Really an amazing difference!
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, HUGE improvement! I've not been a big fan of burlap, my only memory working with burlap was strapping the underside of an old upholstered chair. Holding the burlap strap tight and doing the staple--scary stuff. I think I'll have to re-think after seeing your close-up of the basket.
