Happy Monday!
I trust you all had a fabulous weekend! I did. We went to my favorite barbecue restaurant for Mother's day, and then just spent some awesome time with my Husband and kiddos!
Today I want to share a cute, inexpensive centerpiece!
I originally saw this on Shanty 2 Chic, and I fell.in.love. I was looking for something that could roll into summer and possibly even be a summer centerpiece-I think this is it!
Sorry I didn't take tutorial pics-Whitney did a great tutorial, so hop on over there to get the exact step by step on how to make this!
Supplies needed-
* 1 1x6x6 board from Home Depot or Lowes
* 1 2x4x shortest length they have
* Wood Glue
* Nails
* Mason Jars
* Flowers
* Jute
I cut my 1x6 in half, leaving me with two 3 ft. boards
I then cut my 2x4 to 3 ft, and cut two 4" blocks off of my remaining piece of 2x4.
I used wood glue and nails to assemble the sides and blocks, and the box was done! Now I decorated the mason jar tops with jute, stuck my Dollar Tree flowers into the jars and there ya have it! A super cute, super versatile centerpiece for under $20!
And I just HAD to show off those AMAZING chairs I got at the thrift store awhile back for 9.00 a piece....LOVVVE how they turned out, and how they give more character to our table!
Thanks for the idea, sisters! I love it :)
Do you guys?!
I absolutely adore this! I am adding it to my must do summer list!
ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome! Now to convince the hubby to help me out :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great! The planter box, jars, forsythia and the stencilled (?) placemats. When hubs gets his pallets, I'm reserving some.

I love the size of this! Which project tutorial did you use for it? I just built the mason jar planter box from Shanty 2 Chic using 1 x 4s so it's a similar design but a lot smaller. This looks like something you could even use as a window box!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through tatertots and jello. Newest follower!
